It has exploded in the Panhandle -- at least I have seen it invading native prairie in Potter, Randall, Armstrong, and Donley counties.  I think the dispersal sources are plantings from TXDOT roadside plantings, CRP land, and pipelines and other linear disturbances).  I feel sure these are not the only counties. 

A year ago, I heard a NRCS person state that &quot;at least none of the yellow bluestem has been found to be invading native grasslands/prairie&quot; and he would be wrong in that conclusion.
